Equatoriaal-Guinea is een vrij klein land dat is gelegen in West-Afrika dat grenst aan Gabon en Kameroen. Het land heeft zo’n 1,3 miljoen inwoners. In de huidige hoofdstad Malabo wonen ongeveer 300.00 mensen. De in aanbouw zijnde stad Ciudad de la Paz moet trouwens de nieuwe hoofdstad van Equatoriaal-Guinea worden. Bijzonder is dat het land drie officiële talen heeft, Spaans, veruit de belangrijkste taal, Frans en Portugees. Het is het enige Afrikaanse land waar Spaans een officiële taal is.
