David Smitheram lives in the South West of England, and is currently the Director of a motorsport organising club. Flaptekst van het boek over de vrachtwagens van transportbedrijf Hegeman

Dit boek over Hegeman uit Huissen beschrijft de geschiedenis van het wagenpark vanaf de oprichting in 1923 tot het faillissement in 2009. Bij velen is Hegeman bekend van de `rode` Macks die reden in het stenentransport. Eind jaren ‘60 zou blauw de standaardkleur worden.

Aan bod komen o.a. de overname van J.L. Koot NV Rotterdam in 1968, de overname van Gebr. Abrahams in 1976 en in 1999 de overname van Hoogveld Angeren. Ook de oprichting van een GmbH in 1978 wordt besproken. Dit aan de hand van ongeveer 500 foto`s, waarbij alle merken die ooit bij Hegeman hebben gereden aan bod komen.
