Het onderwerp dat de Britse schrijver Brian Klein heeft gekozen is zeker boeiend, interessant en verontrustend te noemen. Een aantal van de belangrijkste nazikopstukken blijken aan het einde van de Tweede Wereldoorlog geen zelfmoord te hebben gepleegd en zijn ontkomen naar Argentinië waar ze in de anonimiteit plannen beraamden om nogmaals aan de macht te komen en de wereld te kunnen regeren.

Als er bij een inbraak in Buenos Aires waarbij honderden kluisjes worden leeggeroofd ook bewijsstukken van de vlucht worden gestolen dreigt het geheim op straat te komen te liggen. Zeker nu nakomelingen van Hitler tot in de hoogste kringen van de Amerikaanse politiek door aan het breken zijn is dit een groot probleem.

Op basis van dit gegeven heeft Brian Klein een spannende thriller geschreven. Echter hier en daar gaat hij wel erg kort door de bocht, schort het een beetje ongeloofwaardigheid wat het verhaal niet helemaal goed doet. Desondanks is het een aardige thriller die voor de lezer die zich niet laat afleidend door de tekortkomingen, een aantal aangename uren leesplezier zal opleveren. De thriller is gewaardeerd met ∗∗∗∗∗ (zeer goed).
