Ed Zwick was born 8 october 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. He is an Academy Award– and Emmy Award–winning director, writer, and producer of film and television. He directed well known pictures like Glory (1989), The Last Samurai (2006), Blood Diamond (2006) and Trial by Fire (2018).
