Al bijna veertig jaar reist whisky devotee Fernand Dacquin door deze wondere whiskywereld, op zoek naar de interessantste vertellingen en beelden. Hij bottelde 40 verhalen over bijzondere whiskyflessen, in zijn humoristische stijl. Uitzonderlijke whisky’s is grappig, verrassend en het ideale cadeau voor de whiskyliefhebber.

Fernand Dacquin reisde de hele wereld rond als journalist gespecialiseerd in toerisme en distillaten. Hij bezocht Schotland, de bakermat van de whisky, wel honderden keren en putte uit al die reizen inspiratie voor publicaties over whisky in kranten en magazines in Vlaanderen en Nederland. In 2011 werd hij Keeper of the Quaich, gewoonlijk voorbehouden voor mensen uit de whisky­industrie zelf. Hij is medeorganisator van de International Malt Whisky Festival Gent en werkt ook mee aan het festival in Den Haag. Voor zijn bijdrage aan het bekendmaken en verspreiden van de Schotse cultuur werd hij in 2017 opgenomen in de Royal Celtic Society, opgericht in 1820 door Sir Walter Scott.
