Richard Osman is geboren op 28 november 1970 in Billericay, Essex, Engeland. Hij is schrijver en de presentator van populaire programma’s op de BBC. Zijn serie rond de sympathieke bejaarde speurders Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron en Ibrahim is wereldwijd een groot succes. Steven Spielberg verfilmde op dit het eerste boek.
