His previous novel, Tell, was the joint winner of the 2022 Novel Prize, a global, biennial award for a book-length work of literary fiction written in English, and was shortlisted for the 2024 Goldsmiths Prize. In 2017 he was named on the Bogota39 list of best Latin American writers under 40.

The name Edmund Crispin was a pseudonym for his writing activities.  He died on 15 september 1976 in West Hampstead, London from alcohol-related problems aged 56.

Frederick Forsyth was born on 25 August 1938 in Ashford, Kent, Frederick Forsyth The Day of the Jackal First Edition from 1971England.
