It is the company’s memory and database, filled with hundreds of thousands of exhibits. As a result, not every item on the inventory list can be shown to museum visitors. For the first time in their history, the Zuffenhausen-based company is presenting 100 extraordinary and often previously unseen exhibits from the depths of the company archive.

In close cooperation with experts and historians from the Porsche Corporate Archives, automotive journalist and Porsche expert Jan-Henrik Muche has compiled a selection of the most interesting archive documents and exhibits and tells their amazing stories. Specially taken photos are flanked by historical footage and never-before-seen photographs from the archive.

Jan-Henrik Muche is born 1971. He is a well-known motoring journalist and editor-in-chief of the ‘Porsche Fahrer‘ magazine for more than 15 years. He has published numerous automotive titles besides Porsche on Audi and Opel as well.

Ernst Jünger is wereldberoemd geworden met zijn dagboeken uit de Eerste en de Tweede Wereldoorlog en zijn anti-totalitaire roman Op de marmerklippen. Minder bekend is dat hij, naast vele boeken, ook essays heeft geschreven. Deze teksten zijn visionaire pogingen om de moderne tijd met zijn raadsels en verschrikkingen diepgaand te peilen.

In dit boek zijn vier essays opgenomen, afkomstig uit verschillende perioden van Jüngers leven, die een even aantrekkelijk als representatief beeld geven van deze volstrekt eigenzinnige denker.

Ernst Jünger is geboren op 29 maart 1895 in Heidelberg, Duitsland. was een Duitse schrijver, filosoof en oorlogsveteraan. Hoewel hij zich niet bij de NSDAP aansloot en de racistische ideologie ervan afwees, werd hij na 1945 gezien als een intellectuele pionier van het nationaalsocialisme en is hij tot op de dag van vandaag een van de meest controversiële schrijvers in Duitsland. Na de oorlog weigerde Jünger de geallieerde vragenlijst voor de zogenaamde denazificatie in te vullen en kreeg hij tot 1949 een publicatieverbod in de Britse bezettingszone. Hij is vooral bekend door zijn oorlogsromans en diverse essays. Daarnaast vormen gedetailleerde dagboeken uit de Eerste en Tweede Wereldoorlog, en uit de latere Bondsrepubliek, een centraal deel van zijn werk. Zijn werk verkent thema’s als moderniteit, oorlog en existentie. Op 1 februari 1998 overleed Ernst Jünger in het ziekenhuis van Rielingen in Duitsland. Hij werd 102 jaar oud en werd begraven op de begraafplaats van Wilflingen.

Illustrations include original line drawings, black & white plus colour period photos, and interior detail. Trevor Adler was born in the 1960s and raised and educated in Essex, England, and was an enthusiastic participant in his family’s horticultural business from a young age. Trevor progressed to become a technical author in the data communications sector, first at Marconi, then at BT in his home town of Ipswich. He now works in the electricity distribution industry. From childhood, Trevor has been an eager collector of historical printed material, an intererst that led to him writing and publishing several books. His collection includes complete print runs of several UK motoring magazines dating back 90 years – as well as a collection of early Range Rovers. In 2006, he and his father self-built a six-wheeled Land Rover, which they drove to the Sahara and back. Trevor was also responsible for the Transport Source Books Road-test Reprint series, published in the 1990s. He is married with grown up children, and enjoys photography, cycling, and a new hobby: driving his electric cars.
