Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins is geboren op 31 december 1937 in Port Talbot, Wales. Hij is een van de bekendste acteurs van Hollywood. Hij werd geboren in Wales en begon zijn carrière op het toneel in Groot-Brittannië voordat hij de overstap maakte naar film. Tijdens zijn zes decennia lange carrière staat Sir Anthony bekend om zijn geprezen optredens in films zoals The Silence of the Lambs, The Remains of the Day, Marvel’s Thor en The Father. Hij heeft talrijke onderscheidingen ontvangen, waaronder twee Academy Awards, vier BAFTA Awards, twee Primetime Emmy Awards en een Laurence Olivier Award.
